SmartAdblocker (“we” or “us”) consider it our responsibility to protect your data and privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, use and distribute information through our software, website, documentation, and related services (together, the “Services”). Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning as set forth in the Terms of Service for the Services.
This 'bare minimum' of information is the information needed to let SmartAdblocker work. SmartAdblocker will update its list with trackers each day and get the number of trackers detected in the website you're visiting. The 'bare minimum' information that SmartAdblocker needs to work is:
SmartAdblocker may make further requests to the (smartadblocker.com) website as required. These requests are subject to the usual (smartadblocker.com) privacy policy.
Date and time of each request
IP Address of your computer
An unique ID (random generated hash) to remember you
hostname to query our API and get the number of trackers we detected in the website you are visiting
referrer information for each request. Referrer information typically includes the URL of the previous page that led the user to the SmartAdblocker website. This can help track the user's browsing history and behavior
We use the ID, date, time, and number of requests to get a sense of how our users are using SmartAdblocker, to block crawlers and scrapers and for general statistics. The IP-addresses are solely collected for geolocation purposes but only on city level or higher (city, country, continent). We use the hostnames visited to make traffic estimations for websites, ads and trackers, so we can calculate how large the reach of each tracker or ad is. We use this information to maintain and extend our database with known ads and trackers. The information we collect is the same as with the 'bare minimum' (see above) but extended with:
Pages (full URL) on what ads and trackers are loaded
Services identified by SmartAdblocker
Hostnames and domain names of trackers and ads identified by SmartAdblocker
Cookies (names and values) set by each website, tracker or ad
Frames and their target information loaded by each website
Element types set by each hostname (images, scripts, fonts, etc)
To be clear, when you choose to share information with us, the list of attributes we collect is not about you. It’s about the ads and trackers that we want to find and monitor. The only way we will collect this tracker information is if you choose to share your information with us.
**Please note that we do not collect any personal information such as email, name or phone number**
As you use our Services, we may also collect information through the use of commonly-used information-gathering tools, such as cookies, log files, and web beacons. Such Information may include standard information regarding your mobile device, browser type, browser language, Operating System, IP address, and the actions you take on our web site (such as the web pages viewed and the links clicked) or while using the Services. Collectively, this information is referred to as “Usage and Analytics Information.”
We do not use GPS technology to collect any information regarding your precise real-time geo-location while using the Services. However, we may use elements of your Usage and Analytics Information (such as your IP address) to determine your generalized location. This information is referred to as “Generalized Location Information.”
Smart Adblocker may make further requests to the (https://smartadblocker.com/) website as required.
Data may be kept indefinitely.
We may use your Usage and Analytics Information in a de-identified, anonymous way to monitor and analyze use of the Services, for the Services’ technical administration, to increase the Services’ functionality and user-friendliness, and to verify users have the authorization needed for the Services to process their requests.
We collect your information during your access or use of the Extensions for the purpose of providing and improving the Services. We use your Extension Usage Data based on the necessity of such information in providing and improving the Services. We process the Communication Data based on the necessity of such information in providing you with the support you have requested. In this context, we use your information in an effort to improve our users' experience, to communicate with you about our Services, and to further develop, customize, enhance and improve the performance of our Services and Extensions.
We may use this information for the purpose of administering and improving our Services to you, such as by providing you with relevant advertisements and promotions. We may also use your Generalized Location Information in an anonymized manner to monitor and analyze use of the Services, for the Services’ technical administration, and to increase the Services’ functionality and user-friendliness.
SmartAdblocker may share the collected data with third-party entities for various purposes, including but not limited to advertising, analytics, and research. Please note that sharing your data with third parties may involve the sale of your information. We value your privacy and are committed to transparency in our data sharing practices.
In an ongoing effort to better understand our Website and users, we may analyze information in aggregate and/or de-identified form to operate, maintain, manage, and improve the Website. This data, in aggregated and/or de-identified form, does not personally identify individuals. We may share this information with our service providers, affiliates, agents, business partners, and other third parties. Additionally, we may disclose aggregated and/or de-identified user statistics to current and prospective business partners and other third parties for lawful purposes.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third parties involved.
